Baby Wren and the Great Gift is written by Sally Lloyd-Jones, you know her from the delightful Jesus Storybook Bible project!
This charming hardcover book is full of sweet and colorful illustrations and beautiful affirming words. Baby Wren is in awe of the beauty of creation around and each creature invites the tiny bird to join in what they are best at but none of those things is what Baby Wren is best at. It is through this journey that Baby Wren embarks upon that leads to discovering her own special gift.
Comparison is a dangerous game that many of us play even at a very young tender age. What a beautiful way to appreciate the beauty and nature of each created being and then seek to discover what is unique about ourselves rather than wishing to be like another.
Baby Wren and the Great Gift would make a lovely gift for the sweet little people in your life! The cover says it is perfect for ages 4-8 but I think even younger children would appreciate the beauty of this sweet story. I'm giving my copy as a baby gift this week and hope it is enjoyed many times by the sweet girls in their family!
